Food is combined with my visual creativity. I have to arrange it on a plate in such a way to see it well and taste it. How did it start?
We were at somebody's house. We talked about nothing important. Somebody said "Let's cook something". Apparently, when that was said everybody looked at me – I am always the first to be in the kitchen. They told me later that my face expression changed, I straightened up and I triggered my conditioned reflex – that of cooking. Besides that was in a perfect kitchen in which a record player was next to a frying pan... I feel the most free when cooking. It is enough for me to have a couple of vegetables to feel I have no limits, that I can fully unleash my expression. I can make something out of nothing. I am self-educated in this area as well, though I admit my fourth job in life was at a pizzeria.
Afterwards something changed in me: that was the germ of a culinary passion. I added, changed, invented. For three years – thanks to the Eat Beat project – I have been sinking into food and music. I remember I made tenderloin roasted in coconut with chocolate baked aubergine: a slice of aubergine and a slice of tenderloin on top. I looked at the faces of people that tried that – we all had a culinary orgasm. At that moment I realized I can cook, evoke emotions through food. I love cooking for people: it is them who tell me what to cook. I imagine who is going to come and I create according to that impression. I was even among a hundred chosen for Master Chef. I went for the qualifiers immediately after a party with the two-phase mango soup.
If you want to taste my food, I can come over to cook for you, feed your family or friends – let me know.
